The boy likes to play and watch basketball, as well as learning new things. Alim was born in Kyrgyzstan, but lived his whole life in Kazakhstan. Now living in Karlovy Vary, he is studying at the IB Diploma Program at CIS.
Sometimes CIS teachers want us to celebrate the traditional holidays together within our small school holiday. This time we were attending the Christmas Market in Nuremberg, Germany. The Christmas Market is a very authentic tradition of many European countries and many cities have it. Nuremberg Christmas Market is one of the brightest markets in the world.

We had to wake up at 7 because we were going to have a long ride in a very comfortable bus. Waking up was a tough time for all of us, but I think it was worth it. When we arrived to Nuremberg, we have divided into groups. Me and my friends went to buy gifts to our families and friends first. The center of Nuremberg is a cross of two big shopping streets that had many differents stores. You can find there anything - from videogames to rock-metal bands stuff.
When we bought everything we needed we were starving and decided to go somewhere to eat. In some time, we found an empty table inside a traditional bavarian pub - this time of the year is very busy! We had a traditional bavarian meal, which consisted of the bavarian sausages and sauerkraut.

After the lunch we were walking around the Christmas Market. People sell various Christmas-related things (like candies, toys or clothes) in very small shops. We bought different little toys for our younger siblings and then decided to have a cup of coffee before we leave for the school.

The Christmas Market is a very nice experience for people who have never been there and have never experienced that "Christmas atmosphere". I liked this trip and I hope my family will enjoy the gifts that I have prepared for them.
