King Charles the Fourth, King of Bohemia, Holy Roman Emperor, father of the Czech Republic and founder of Karlovy Vary, was renowned for his statesmanship and diplomacy. His rule during the 14th Century was characterized by such peace and prosperity that it has become known as the Golden Age of Bohemia. To this day his name is revered by the Czech people as a visionary leader and national hero.
In honor of this distinguished legacy, Carlsbad International School is proud to present the Karel IV Award to prospective students who have distinguished themselves both academically and socially as having the potential to be a role model among their peers, both in and outside of the classroom.
Furthermore, it is the aim of the Karel IV Award to provide these exceptional students with the opportunity to gain an IB Education at Carlsbad International School, who would not otherwise be able to afford the opportunity.
